Odis Weaver became our senior pastor in September of 2004. Both he and his wife, Joann, grew up in Joliet, Illinois and graduated from Joliet East High School in 1974. He received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louis-ville, Kentucky. Odis and Joann have two daughters. Jennifer is a middle school teacher in Elizabethtown, Kentucky where she teaches social studies. Michelle graduated from Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, Ken-tucky. She now works as a family therapist in Louisville. In December of 2012 Michelle was married to Jon Wren and on May 20, 2014 Pastor Odis and Joann became the very thrilled grandparents of Jonah. Pastor Odis enjoys jogging with Joann, college basketball and football, reading books on leader-ship and hugging Jonah. Odis and Joann both enjoy entertaining guests and developing new friendships.
Pern Lundell joined our staff in November 2017 as Worship Leader. He serves bi-vocationally and works at McDonald's Corporation while serving as a member of the FBC staff. Pern has led or served on Praise Teams for more than 20 years and specializes as a vocalist. He has a heart for seeing the church lift up its heart to our almighty God with abandon.
He graduated from Bellevue University in Nebraska with a B.S. in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. As a continuous learner, he is also learning to play the guitar in order to further enhance his abilities as a Worship Leader.
Pern and his wife Cheryl have been married for 28 years and have two adult children, Jennifer and Pern IV. In his spare time, Pern enjoys golf, woodworking, hunting, traveling with Cheryl, and watching his favorite football team the Baltimore Ravens.
Doug Anderson joined the Friendship staff in February 2007 as Associate Pastor - Student Ministries. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.S. in Computer Science. God has given Doug a passion for youth ministry and called him to end a 20-year career in Information Technology to serve in full-time ministry. He has a Master's degree in Youth Ministry from Northern Seminary. Doug and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 15 years.
